At the time, I was down on my luck—completely stuck. I had left my previous job to take care of my dad after he became disabled. That was a hard decision, but it was one I had to make. Family comes first. Once he was stable and able to be on his own again, I was ready to get back into the workforce. But that was way harder than I expected.
I went months without finding any work. No one seemed willing to take a chance on me. I kept searching and hoping, trying to find anywhere that could help. Then I stumbled across The Momentum Centre in a google search — and that changed everything.
The Momentum Centre isn’t just a place that helps you find a job. They help you become more employable. They teach you how to build real, human skills that most schools and jobs overlook—things like emotional regulation, how to collaborate with people, how to show up motivated and focused every morning.
They even helped me understand how to define my goals, build a mission for myself, and see my own value. These aren’t just “soft skills”—they’re real, powerful tools that made a huge difference for me when I stepped back into the workforce.
Thanks to the support I got at The Momentum Centre, I’m in a completely different place now. I’m working, growing, and finally moving forward again. Sometimes, all it takes is one opportunity—one group of people who believe in you—to help you find your footing again.
